Ruth F. Schultz
(April 16, 1914 - February 14, 2012)

Ruth Florence Schultz of Tiffin, Ohio passed away Tuesday afternoon, February 14, 2012 at Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.

On April 16, 1914, in Chicago, Illinois, she was born to George F. and Ann (Musil) Kveck.  She married Arthur F. Schultz on November 2, 1940 and he preceded her in death in 1983

Survivors include son, Corrie A. Schultz; brother, George M. (Violet) Kveck of Three Lakes, WI; daughter in law, Marcia Schultz of Troy, New York; four grandchildren, Lara A. Schultz of Columbus, Ohio; David A. (Shandra) Schultz of Honolulu, Hawaii; Daniel A. (Natasha) Schultz of San Francisco, CA; Becky L. (Chris) Celeste of Johnston, RI; and three great grandchildren; Jarrett A. and Austin D. Schultz and Jacob C. Celeste.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Professor Arthur G. Schultz; and daughter-in-law Mary Lou Schultz.

Ruth graduated from Morton Junior College with an Associates Degree and was a member of Phi Chi Theta Sorority.  She was a member of the Evergreen Park, Illinois Garden Club and the Community Club, The High School Women’s Club, the Bemidji Presbyterian Church.  She attended the Vogue School of Fashion Art and served as a volunteer for the American Heart Association.  Ruth was a devoted homemaker who also enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening and baking.  Each Christmas she had her own business of making and selling over 300 holiday fruitcakes.  She also enjoyed fishing with her family on vacations and after retiring to Bemidji, Minnesota.

There will be no visitation and burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo, Illinois at  2:30 PM on February 21, 2012.

Memorial contributions may be made to Seneca County Humane Society and/or the Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.

Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements with local assistance Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, Geneseo.
